17Tiers: what you actually get
Working out what the 8, 20, 100 and 200 dollars buy
The market has spread out, and there are more tiers than it looks. Here they are by level.
Cheap entry, five to ten dollars. New almost everywhere. Same models, noticeably lower limits. Good for trying it and working out whether this is for you. Cramped for real work.
Standard, around twenty. The tier most people sit on. Prices are close everywhere: twenty for ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, a little under twenty for Google. Grok comes out at thirty. Real projects get built on this comfortably.
Heavy, a hundred to two hundred. This is "I work in it all day". More limits, access to the strongest models, no "come back tomorrow". If you're starting out, this is definitely not for you.
What matters more than price: limits. They, not the feature list, decide whether it feels comfortable. And you can only find that out on your own workload. So the sane strategy is to take the standard tier, work for a week, and see whether you're hitting walls.
The prices here are a snapshot from when this was written. Check the site before paying: they change more often than anyone would like.
