The most common blocker: "I want to make something but I don't know what". Let's fix that.

Bad strategy: hunting for a brilliant idea. Brilliant ideas are either already built or need a year of work, and you'll quit in week two.

Good strategy: hunt for boring and annoying. The thing you do by hand every week and resent. The thing people around you complain about. The thing that makes you open five tabs.

A live example I love. Someone built a reference of tractor specifications. Literally: a database about tractors. No hype, no AI in the name. Over a million visits a month and around forty thousand dollars in ad revenue. A boring niche nobody had bothered with.

Another: a service that takes screenshots of websites on request. One function. Twenty thousand a month.

The point is you don't have to invent something new. You have to find something people need that is currently done badly or awkwardly.

Three questions to find yours: what annoys me every week? what do I do by hand that could be automatic? what do people complain about in the chats I'm already in?
