AI Roadmap - 75 Steps from Zero to Shipped

74Finish what you start

The difference between people it works out for and everyone else

Bluntly: it isn't the cleverest who win. It's the ones who finish.

An enormous number of people start, get to eighty percent, and stop. The last twenty percent are the dullest: small fixes, copy, checks, deployment. Nothing interesting, just finishing.

And that's exactly what separates "I was doing something" from "I have a thing". And that's where almost everything gets lost.

What helps you get there.

Keep projects small. Easier to drag over the line.

Publish early. Once a thing is on the internet, finishing it is psychologically easier than finishing something nobody has seen.

Allow yourself to publish something imperfect. If you wait for perfect, you never publish.

Finish even if you've gone off it. One mediocre project carried to the end will give you more than five abandoned brilliant ones.
