43What to actually make

Four formats with different entry costs

Something concrete for people who don't know where to start.

A one-page site. The simplest. A card, a project page, a portfolio. An evening's work, free to deploy, and you see the result immediately. The ideal first project.

A Telegram bot. Slightly harder but more satisfying: it has users straight away. Registering a bot is free and takes two minutes. A bot that sends something on a schedule or answers commands is an excellent second job.

A browser extension. An underrated format. A small button that does the thing you keep wishing a site had. You install it for yourself, you use it yourself, and it's remarkably satisfying.

A script for yourself. Not for people, for your own chores: rename a pile of files, collect some data, sort photos into folders. Fastest of all at giving you the "this actually works" feeling.

My suggested order: site, then bot, then anything. The site teaches you deployment, the bot teaches you working with a user. After those two you're not a beginner any more.
