ChatGPT is the most familiar all-rounder: the GPT-6 generation inside (Astra for the hardest problems, Sol for code and work, Luna for quick answers), built-in image generation, voice, search and Work mode, where it builds spreadsheets and decks on its own. Codex is the coding agent and handles development work well: it comes with every plan, with limits more generous than Claude's, and lives in the terminal, your editor and a desktop app for Windows and Mac. Pick it if Claude is too expensive for you, or use both for different jobs. Plans: Free, Go at $8, Plus at $20 (the sweet spot), Pro at $100 or $200. Oh, and by the way - the censorship here is very strict, which is a real downside: Codex will often simply refuse tasks that others would do.
