Flux

Black Forest Labs' image model that became the industry standard for developers building AI image products. FLUX.2 is the current generation: pro and flex through the API, dev with open weights, and since January 2026 the small klein models that generate or edit an image in under half a second on a decent GPU. It keeps characters and style consistent across several reference images, follows structured prompts, writes complex text and respects brand guidelines and logos, with editing up to 4 megapixels. Because the open versions are everywhere, you've probably already used Flux inside other apps without knowing it. Available through the official API and dozens of services like Replicate, fal.ai and ComfyUI; free for personal use on community platforms. The go-to if you want control over generation and don't want to be locked into one company's walled garden.
